Fairies Laughing

The evening sun made halos in her hair,
While unseen birds played haunting serenades,
It tumbled down in silver gilt cascades
And I heard fairies laughing everywhere.

A hint of Autumn’s magic filled the air,
The crescent Moon reflected in her eyes,
We sat and talked as stars bejewelled the skies
And I heard fairies laughing everywhere.

Ten years have passed since I first saw her there
But nothing’s changed she’s still sets me on fire,
September nights ignited my desire
And I heard fairies laughing everywhere.

The evening sun made halos in her hair
And I heard fairies laughter everywhere.
