Desert Rose

Inside the dark some lights are always bright
Some tiny birds out-sing the loudest choir
When love’s around it’s never truly night
The darkest screen is shattered by desire

Between the clouds a shining star appears
An incandescent charm to lead the way
She sprinkles love until the morning nears
Then settles down to sleep away the day

But as a star you’re more than just a guide
An inspiration few will ever match
And those you love will never need to hide
As each must know they’ve made the greatest catch

A rose that blooms where little beauty shows
Is worth the sum of all that nature knows
