Alone in winter

Wind
Thin skinned
Feeling cold
Getting so old
Frosty each morning
Each day later dawning
Passers-by all wrapped up well
Do I know them? How could I tell?
Alone in this hedgerow there’s just me
Outside, Christmas near, standing proud, a tree
