At the End of the Tunnel

On coal-black days beneath unending clouds
A happy smile is all I need to see,
When I can’t find the strength to part the shrouds
A single touch can mean the world to me.
Untainted by life’s cares a child can show,
That somewhere there’s a world I want to know.
The contest holder assures me that the rules have been changed to allow poems under 10 lines that are not exactly 30 words long
