Lazy Saturday

Eating a cream tea, watching the cricket, beautiful girls on my mind
Life can be wonderful, lovely and lazy, far from the everyday grind
Would I were lying down head in a lap, gazing at features so fine
She would be tenderly touching my forehead, drinking a cold glass of wine
Her friend would be there with us, my legs across hers, quietly passing the time
I hope they don’t mind that I’ve stolen their Saturday, putting them both in my rhyme
Nothing can spoil the way I am feeling, the cricket is going my way
The games not exciting, so I’ve time for dreaming, enjoying my slow Saturday
Life can be wonderful, lazy and lovely, far from the everyday grind
I’ve finished my cream tea, we’ve won the cricket, those ladies are still on my mind
