That time of year

A branch outside my window has a tit
Who likes to show me that he’s found some string
Then he returns to puff his chest and sing
It could be he’s like me a little bit

His lady friend is busy in the nest
It’s rather hard to see how she can fit
He brings her moss and leaves and all the rest
I think that he’d prefer to sing and sit

I like to see the way that they invest
My garden will be full of tits all year
And it must mean that Spring is nearly here
And that’s the bit I really like the best

In fact to all the great tits raise a cheer
You’ve shown me that the cricket season’s near!!!!
