As midnight gently blew

Too hot for love, she said, tonight
There’s not a place for you
But then my world was set alight
As midnight gently blew

The heat collapsed she came to me
The way she wanted to
And silently she worshipped me
As midnight gently blew

Then came my turn to give to her
The sweetest way I knew
The tenderness that lips confer
As midnight gently blew

She wrapped herself around my heart
We were no longer two
The race to find the sweetest part
As midnight gently blew

And then we slept, and touched and held
The night was soft and new
Two lovers in a summer meld
As midnight gently blew
