Grey skies, silver linings

Looking out on skies of grey
Let’s sit and drink some tea
And laugh the moody clouds away
In talk of you and me
We’ll watch the world inside our minds
Where weather fits the mood
And when we’ve sifted all our finds
We’ll go to find some food.
Then look at verse and write our own
Before we take a walk
The weather will not make us moan
Just give us time to talk
The time stands still on days of grey
When friends are by your side
So we can sit and dream away
Not sit alone and hide
A day to sit is not a waste
A day with you sublime
And now that I have had a taste
I’m waiting for next time.
