Grey skies

The dark grey light that fills my room
May fill another man with gloom
But I just smile and think that you
Are sitting on a grey day too

When weather isn’t right for play
Then in the house is where I’ll stay
Thinking of a verse that’s new
While hoping you are writing too

The moody clouds won’t keep me down
Or dress my face with morbid frown
I’ll try to take my mood from you
I know that you’ll be happy too.

We may not meet or speak today
But say inside away from grey
We’ll spend the day in unity
I love grey days you spend with me
