My Pixie

There’s a Pixie in my dreams each summer night-time
She has hair the colour of the evening sun
And I wonder will it ever be the right time
For me and Pixie just to have some fun

For the Pixie that I dream about so sweetly
Won’t look at me as though she knows my name
And yet she knows she has my heart completely
Is she cruelly playing me in some sad game

Now the Pixie doesn’t know about the magic
Of dreams you dream upon a wishing star
And the outcome of my poem isn’t tragic
We just got married and she’s sitting in my car!
