The lady of the night

The eyes behind the lashes pulled him in
Her legs enticed his eyes to secret spots
The way she licked her lips he thought of sin
Forgot his Mother’s talk of “No”s and “Not”s

She slowly sipped the drink he bought for her
And gently raised a hand that he might kiss
She moved to let him sit without demur
He never thought her actions were amiss

Nobody saw the way the lady left
Police were called but could not find a clue
In interviews the fam’ly were bereft
But no-one came to tell them what they knew

The mystery could never be explained
How can a body be completely drained?
