A little night music

I waited for the moment when she floated through my heart
As she flew on shafts of love around the world
In my dream I hear the music that her kisses can impart
As she lovingly ensures that I’ve been girled
‘Cross the stars that fill the sky with little diamonds of light
She has conquered me with arrows from above
I just want to spend my life in singing music to the night
As we fly across the oceans filled with love
Gentle murmurs of my heartstrings plucked by fingers playing Strauss
As my angel of the night conducts her band
Distant echoes of her laughter as she runs into her house
And she sings the songs she knows I’ll understand
Sparkling music floating downward from our dance-floor on a cloud
Cheers the nights of everybody down below
When I feel her in my dreaming I must sing my love out loud
While my lover shows the moon the way to glow
