Fools in love

She calls him Pudgy Face, he calls her Pups
They match their underwear before they dress
The other’s name adorns their coffee cups
She tidies up before he makes a mess

He’s five foot one, she’s taller by a foot
They weigh the same, well give or take a pound
His hair is white and hers is black as soot
More illmatched pairs of lovers can’t be found

They kissed beneath the mistletoe last year
Next thing we knew was wedding gifts to buy
It just can’t last, the universal fear
Each one looks perfect to the other’s eye

So what if he is older than her Dad
Three jags, a house and yacht just can’t be bad!
