Writing roses

I want to write a bunch of roses
Wrap them up in silken words
Words to say what love proposes
Words so sweet they charm the birds

With every hue in silken phrases
I’ll post myself in loving words
With sentences so full of praises
Words so sweet they charm the birds

And as you read I’ll feel you smiling
Pleased to read such tender words
You’ll love the verse I’ve been compiling
Words so sweet they charm the birds

I want to write a bunch of roses
Words so sweet they charm the birds

Author notes

Not really a Kyrielle sonnet

because lines are alternately 11 and 9 syllables, odd numbered lines feminine rhymes and ending in amphibrachs (“diDUMdi”s), even numbered lines acephalic (means without a head, I’ve chopped off the first weak syllable) so when you read it it appears to be in even iambic tetrameter, either that or it doesn’t and I’m talking hogwash.
