On top of a fell

Standing on top of a Lakeland fell
The whole of the world is looking well
As the climber looks down on the lakes far below
Deep in his heart he must certainly know
That nowhere on Earth is a man more complete
Than standing on a mountain, the world at his feet
Scafell, or Skiddaw, Hellvellyn or Gable
To each of these peaks you should go if you’re able
The air is much cleaner, the sky more “just right”
On a mountain in Lakeland, the world’s finest sight!
