From mountain tops

On mountain tops the world seems far away
And worries trickle into mountain streams
The clouds that dot the skies all want to play
And scarper in and out of pretty dreams

The gentle breeze persuades the grass to dance
While buzzards look around for easy meat
And in my mind I vow to take a chance
And find a way to make my life complete

The real world that nestles far below
Is filled with things that matter little now
It only really matters that I know
That you’re as near to me as gods allow

From mountain tops I gaze upon each view
And in my heart the view I see is you
