Summer love

On summer days of soft gold rays of sun
I only want to be beside your side
In subtle games and teasing you for fun
You tickle back and then you run and hide

An ice-cube down my back and then a kiss
I drop you in the sea you pull me in
The silly fun can turn to perfect bliss
When every single game is played to win

Then night will fall and I will fall again
In love with you in every single way
The message that is thumping through my brain
I want to be with you through every day

Now Autumn’s here but love remains the same
Each season brings another lover’s game

Author notes

Its a Shakespearean sonnet.
