Morning light

I want to lie beside you in your bed
And hold you in my arms throughout the night
Place rows of kisses on your sleeping head
To watch you breathe until the morning light

I’d smile to see your hair across your face
And dare to tease a nipple just on show
I’d wonder if you dreamt about the chase
While waiting for the sun to bring her glow

When golden rays of morning paint your skin
I’d wake you in the way you asked me to
What finer way could any day begin
Than in your bed and making love to you

I want to see your face before you rise
So I can hold perfection in my eyes
