Winter white

The North wind blew the grey away
And changed the garden overnight
A different sort of play today
The World has turned to winter white
The roofs and trees have snow on show
It’s changed the silver morning light
The country seems to know a glow
The World has turned to winter white
The snow will change to rain again
Then grey and green return to sight
To try to dull my brain in vain
The World has turned to winter white
The North wind blew the grey away
The World has turned to winter white
