Willing captives

The softest bonds can give the firmest hold
And locks the prisoner would not undo
When prison cells are hung with thread of gold
The is no need to run to something new

These chains around my hands will not restrict
The rope you hold will save not drag me down
You put me right when life has got me licked
I’ll never let you leave me with a frown

You wrap me in your heart with just a smile
You make me laugh when clouds are in the sky
When you are here forever’s just a while
My friend you taught my happiness to fly

I’m tied to you forever and a day
And I will never try to run away
