My best friend speaks

He’s out of bed so he’ll be here for me.
I have to work before I’m half awake.
I know he has to have a cup of tea
But every now and then I want a break!

It’s true the kettle starts his daily round
But soon enough he’ll warm me with the steam,
Then in will go the tea bag he has found
And I’ll have lost another peaceful dream.

Oh Boody Hell that’s hot you stupid man!
I have to sit to let his cuppa brew;
His tea must always be a perfect tan
And maybe there’s another cup for you.

Around this house a teapot gets no rest
And everybody knows MY tea’s the best!!!
