It’s three point one four one five nine two six
Five three five eight nine se’en nine three two four
I know some really boring party tricks
And once I learned to quote a whole lot more

A transcendental number by the way
Irrational, it can’t be written down
The centre of a mathematician’s play
But pretty sure to make all others frown

It took at least two thousand years to show
There is no way a circle can be squared
And that’s about the most that people know
I’d tell you more but think you should be spared

I am a geek and so in love with pi
Next time I write I’ll tell you all of “i”

Author notes

(i is the square root of minus one)

e pi and i are beautifully joined in Euler’s identity e to the power of pi times i plus one is zero.

Not that you wanted to know that
