An Englishman adrift and feeling lost,
Not quite aware of where his life may lead.
Deciding if his purse can stand the cost
If he can find the nerve to do the deed.

An Englishman with dreams he cannot hold
And highfaluting hopes his words express.
Could take a chance to win Olympic gold
Or settle down to being something less.

A fool, perhaps, to cast the past aside
Or foolish to still crew a sinking ship.
All life must be a roller coaster ride
You hope that you maintain a steady grip.

Will anybody join my final dance,
If I’ve the guts to take a second chance?
