In your bed tonight

In your bed tonight you’ll feel me, breathing love-songs in your ears,
Feel my lips across your eyelids as I kiss away your tears.
Gentle fingers trace the contours of your body down below,
As you sleep off inhibitions they will know where they should go.

In your bed tonight you’ll feel me, breathing softly on your skin,
Feel my tongue descending slowly till I find a way within.
When you tingle like a promise of a swim in sun-warmed sea
You may smile although you’re sleeping as you know the best of me.

In your bed tonight you’ll feel me, breathing heavy lungs of air,
Tracing dreams across your nighttime, running fingers through your hair.
When you’re ready for the ending to a love that never ends
You will feel me in a fashion that says we are more than friends.

In your bed tonight you’ll feel me, breathing deep in lover’s sleep,
Dreaming dreams of how you held me and the love that I can keep.
I am with you like a lover every night and every day —
Hold me closer, ever closer, though you’re half the world away.
