A Dream Awakening

While fast asleep I dreamt of questing lips
Caressing me in ways all men desire
I sighed and dreamt of subtle fingertips
That found the way to set my sleep on fire

Sensations grew that I would not disturb
And warmth engulfed the centre of my dreams
A lie-in always seems to be superb
But this was taking pleasure to extremes

I moved my hand and found her silken hair
Sometimes a dream is more than in your head
She’d crept upstairs while I was unaware
To wish me Happy Birthday in my bed

There couldn’t be a better lady friend
But then I woke and dreaming had to end!!!
