The first mistake

This morning I woke early
To a cold and hazy sun
The sky was soft and pearly
Filled with trails that planes had spun

My bed was so relaxing
That I just reclosed my eyes
Though the day may be quite taxing
I was in my beddie byes …

I woke again and panicked
I saw my stupidity
Now the day has been Titaniced
With no time for drinking tea

Now I’m on this train unshaven
Still asleep inside my head
Wishing I was in the haven
Of my warm and cosy bed

By a little after lunchtime
I may catch back up to me
Now I’ll jog along to crunchtime
Without equanimity!!!
