Walking to work in the drizzle

It’s dreary dark and drizzly
And miserable and mizzly
It’s not the time to go out for a walk
The office will be busily
Pretending life goes fizzly
While meeting rooms fill up with lots of talk

The wind now searches bitingly
For ways that unexcitingly
Lead in where breeze and rain should never play
My dreams still speak invitingly
Of bed that never quitingly
Seemed bent on holding me within today

Tomorrow will be Saturday
A weather doesn’t matter day
When I can stay at home all snug and warm
But cars make this a splatter day
A too much work and chatter day
And now I’m here it’s time I must perform!
