Time for a change

Too many men have fates as sad as mine
They wake unloved on this and every day
The years have taken what they had away
Old Chronos walks a cruel unsteady line
Inside each heart there’s power to reassign
To find the spark that makes the spirit play
Ignore November think again of May
Then ask the aid of good Saint Valentine

You need not live in shadow of your fears
Or count the days until you are no more
A pretty face can wipe away the tears
And show you that the best is still in store
Ignore the grey discount the passing years
Go out and find the girl you will adore
