An apple-pie and custard puts the Sun up in the sky,
Contented smiles on everybody’s face.
Though it is cold and rainy, gloomy clouds are rolling by
For just a while the World’s a happy place.

A proper Sunday dinner, with a roast and Yorkshire pud,
Is hard to beat on any kind of day
But tasty fruit in custard makes the whole thing twice as good
And blows all thoughts of weather far away.

And I’ve still work to tackle, not too hard but still a pain,
But, feeling full, it cannot be too bad.
Forgetting needs to diet I can’t wait till once again
A Sunday dinner’s waiting to be had!
