Football in the park

Running and kicking and kicking and running
It’s football in the park
Jumpers for goalposts, a pram is the goalie
Play ’til after dark

I am a winger I’ll pass you a beauty
Kick it in the goal
You are the forward to score is your duty
We each have a role

Running and kicking and kicking and running
It’s football in the park
Jumpers for goalposts, a pram is the goalie
Play ’til after dark

The gates will be closing we better get moving
Heading home for tea
We getting much better and always improving
Was the baby with me?

Running and kicking and kicking and running
It’s football in the park
Jumpers for goalposts, a pram is the goalie
Play ’til after dark

Back we are running to bring home my brother
Sleeping with a snore
If you go blabbing and let on to mother
I’ll say you didn’t score!

Author notes

You can substitute the word soccer for football if you live in an uncivillised country!
