Will you love me, as I love you, all night long.

Are you waiting in my bedroom, in my bed and in my dreams;
Will you dance with me this evening when the silver moonlight gleams,
Can we taste the icy water in the clearest mountain streams,
Will you love me, as I love you, all night long.

You are there when I am writing,
When I walk or read a book.
Every moment is exciting
When I know that you may look.
When I fancy something tasty,
You’re the cake with extra cream.
So each night I’m always hasty
To be with you in a dream.

Can we drive across the country, follow rivers by balloon,
Count the stars that bow and curtsey as they twinkle at the Moon.
Will you hold me while I’m sleeping, share the air that plays the tune,
Will you love me, as I love you, all night long.

You’re a blackbird when it’s singing,
You’re a rose without a thorn,
When the morning light starts bringing
Me a day that’s newly born.
After dark you’re warm and tender,
Like a kiss on every nerve.
Can I be the one pretender
To the throne you long to serve.

Now it’s time that I was sleeping, time for you and I to meet,
In a field of waving poppies or the pub across the street.
It is only when I’m with you that I know I am complete;
Will you love me, as I love you, all night long.
