Simple Pleasures

I’m drinking tea and feeling fine,
The nearest edge of luxury.
I do not need the kiss of wine,
I’m drinking tea.

Some biscuits would be good to see,
They’d make this simple scene divine;
If you were here to share with me.

When nature drew her grand design,
She left a space where we’d be free;
And in this perfect dream of mine,
I’m drinking tea.
