What’s life?

What’s life if it’s not cricket,
Played to rather different rules.
When the last ball hits your wicket
You must leave this stage of fools,
But so long as you are batting
Keep your bat straight, eye on ball,
And the little bumps you’re patting
Do not change the pitch at all.

Author notes

Thank-you sir.
