What I want to know.

I think it’s true, it ought to be,
That chocolate cake is good for me,
That penny toffees make me strong
And one more mint cannot be wrong.

I heard one day, I’m pretty sure,
That gingerbread’s a certain cure,
For illnesses that keep you home
And can’t be fixed by honeycomb.

My mother said, or so I claim,
That ice-cream never is to blame,
For gaining weight and getting fat,
I’m really rather glad of that.

But Brussels Sprouts will make you ill,
If eaten quite against your will,
And spinach can be bad for you;
Such sage advice just must be true.
