Until the End

A love that lasts for life is rather rare
And waiting for its end’s a game for fools;
So grab your chance for passion by the hair,
Don’t turn away in fear of breaking rules.

Your heart can’t always hide from painful breaks,
Or win the prize if it won’t take a chance.
You’ll never learn if you don’t make mistakes,
And ballerinas know it hurts to dance.

A pretty house with scones for tea each day
Is just a dream, not where I’d want to be,
A fairground ride with firework display
Would always be the better bet for me .

Then at the end I’ll reminisce and smile,
At least I lived the bloody thing in style!
