Next Door’s Allotment Overflows

Next door’s allotment overflows
With treats to eat that tease the nose;
So I’ve got berries in a bowl,
To keep me sweet and soothe my soul.

They brought them round for us today
But they had not the time to stay.
Now I’m sat eating on my own,
The summer fruits that they have grown.

I also have a glass of wine,
There’s cricket on, my life’s divine!
When they’re all gone it’s time for bed,
To dream of love, and getting fed!
