A cautionary tale

A dark foreboding presence
In the cold and lonely wood
Waits for all the little children
Who forgot they should be good

They walk straight by it daily
And they never once suspect
They’ll be pulled within its power
On the day they least expect

Skipping of to play at school
Her Birthday, now she’s eight
Sharon went straight past the wood
And at home-time she is late

Her parents never found her
The Police have searched in vain
So if ever you’ve been naughty
Never do the same again!
