A beautiful maiden sleeps in the deep
Charmed by a spell that was cast in the night
Jelly fish soldiers will keep her asleep
A Prince can conduct her back to the light

Dreamless her slumbers beneath the dark ocean
Far from the places that Princes may dive
All of the while in waves gentle motion
The maiden slept on just barely alive

A young man named Paul swam out to the buoy
And rescued the maiden who’d slept so long
He kissed her with passion she woke with joy
The evil witch cursed that something went wrong

It seems that the witch forgot just one thing
Paul’s Father was known as Marmaduke King
Author notes
