A free verse mirrored sonnet

Free from the rigours of over-harsh form
Poetical words with tinges of prose
Cool the emotions that once were so warm
Fingers of rhyme fast becoming the toes

Metaphor keeping the images real
With poetry blowing the world apart
Abstract ideas that we can all feel
End of tradition or only the start

Economy used where I would have waste
Verbosity swamped by the brief
Vulgar expression that gives voice to taste
Joy that I feel when I read of great grief

Opposite sides often feel just the same
Life is the object whatever the game

Author notes
I was talking to Mairi_bheag about her mirrored dyad and I thought of Amera’s
shadow sonnet and i thought how about a mirror sonnet. Every line to start and
end with an antonym. This isn’t intended to be a good example just me playing
to see if it could be made to work, I think it might.

Now how about that for a name dropping Author’s note?
