A Heartfelt Plea, for Tea!

True Englishmen are on a constant mission –
To find a half-way decent cup of tea.
Securing this most necessary addition
Has been a Worldwide odyssey for me.
Americans are scared of boiling water
And think that almost warm enough will do;
The French lead leaves to painful, pointless slaughter;
Across the World few nations have a clue
In Turkey or in India quite rarely
You’ll find a brew that’s good enough to drink;
Australians may sometimes treat you fairly,
New Zealanders less often than you’d think.
With boiling water, leaves, a heated pot,
And lots of care, your tea will hit the spot!
