A lady in a waistcoat

To see a lady in a waistcoat
For me is quite a treat
I saw such a lovely lady
Just this morning on the street
Her shape was very pleasing
And would have always caught my eye
But in a black waistcoat, with dragons
She didn’t have to try
She grinned and said “good morning”
A greeting I returned
I then said to her “Nice waistcoat”
And I’m pleased I wasn’t spurned
For she smiled an even broader smile
And said she thought so too
As we parted she then added
“But its not bright enough for you!”
