A lesson learned

A lady who insists the lid goes down
Has never lived with sons before they’re four
At three a.m. a tyke can quickly drown
The whole expanse of any toilet floor
No child who’s learned to never wee in bed
Has ever learned to look before you pee
The notion isn’t foremost in his head
That others would obey a strange decree
His eyes are shut he’s clearly not awake
And only one thing’s in his addled brain
A house-proud Mum soon learns of her mistake
While mopping up and ringing down the drain
Don’t ever seek to cover up that pan
If you are trying to raise a little man
