A lifelong love affair

On summer days internal heat can cool,
On winter days its warmth will radiate.
The taste’s the same when seated round the pool;
Or huddled up in sweaters round the grate.
In spring refreshing sights are all around,
In autumn harvest’s golden colours soothe.
In any season nothing else I’ve found,
Provides a satisfaction quite so smooth.
My lips are resting now upon the lip
Of pure perfection swirling in a cup.
My tongue delights when nectar strikes the tip,
Please don’t disturb until it’s “bottom’s up!”
Pure happiness is washing over me,
My insides are outside a cup of tea!
