A little on the large side

I went to the counter to buy an ice-cream
When I asked for their largest they started to scream
Outside the window a mixer was parked
It started to churn as it’s engine was sparked
A crane overhead started lifting a load
A car full of cops came to close off the road
It took twenty minutes of work from the crew
And now it is finished, what am I to do?
It is not all that easy to eat on your own
A twenty ton, forty foot, home-made ice-cream cone!
