What greater romance can there be
Than love that’s born of poetry?
What sweeter start to sharing life
Than verses for a man and wife?
What more could anyone desire
Than words and deeds to start a fire?
What greater romance can there be
Than love that’s born of poetry?

Such beauty met across a page
Will last from youth to utmost age.
For blessed with words your marriage bed
Shall keep your mutual muses fed.
You could not have a better start
Than when your words can win a heart.
What greater romance can there be
Than love that’s born of poetry?

Now you must treat each other well
And pay respect to such a spell
As has been cast upon you two
To govern all the things you do.
I hope your union will spawn
The greatest verses ever born.
What greater romance can there be
Than love that’s born of poetry?
