A quiet night in

The house is very quiet
Because it’s only me that’s in
I could throw a wild party
But how do you begin?
I could ring an escort agency
To ask them for a date
But it’s nearly ten o’clock by now
And we’d finish rather late
Add to that I don’t know one
And my wife would not be pleased
It may cost more than an escort girl
Before she was appeased
Perhaps I should go quite mad
And dance round in the nude
But some-one would be bound to call
And think that I was rude
So instead I’ll make a cup of tea
And sit and write a rhyme
And dream of what else I could do
To help me pass the time!
