A shattered mind

Attacked by fears and demons from within
She tries to find a silent place to hide
Her mind is torn the darker side will win
If she can’t let another get inside
The brain is not a simple toy to fix
And hers it seems needs help in many ways
Her thoughts are lost to devilry and tricks
And she can’t find a way to face her days
So take her head and lay it on your knees
Then let her scream and cry while you are there
Give tender comfort to her heartfelt pleas
And let her know that you will really care
We cannot take away another’s pain
But friendship helps them learn to live again
