A snowy scene

With thick white snow upon the ground
A winter scene in spring is found
No road or path disturbs the view
That I should love to share with you
A garden dressed in winter white
Can fill all hearts with warm delight
Though songbirds don’t know what to do
I know I’d love to share with you
A silent morning cars don’t move
As though their owners don’t approve
Of making tracks in snow so new
I’d beat a path to share with you
This view won’t last in April’s light
But brought a wondrous end to night
A chance that’s give to too few
To share this view with one like you
