A sonneteer muses

A sonnet it appears can melt a heart
An idea that excites my favourite muse
He finds this is most interesting news
He’s sat me down and said that I should start
It really should not cause surprise to me
A sonnet tends to make me fall apart
The thing that I most want in poetry
Is Sonneteer regarded as my art
So thank you to the friend who set me free
From melancholy mood a while ago
I want with all my heart to let you know
The happiness that you have let me see
So once again my good side is on show
My mood is back on top from down below
