Afraid of the Rain

The pitter-patter paranoid
Prepare with utmost care
They’re sure the world would be destroyed
If rain should touch their hair
Umbrella Bella’s staying dry
Beneath her lurid roof
She sees the summer storm slip by
While staying waterproof
A fat girl in a plastic mac
Rebounds from tree to tree
The hood is oversized and black
I don’t think she can see
You’d think they’d never seen the rain
The way they moan and fuss
They’ll strip the whole lot off again
When they get on the bus!
